I would tend to say that there is not a direct comparison between reality TV and art. Thats not the main focus of the show, which is to help a struggling family out by replacing their old broken home with a newer hip one. Yes they do use alot of the new trends of the day in creating it but its not the center point of the show and shouldn't be considered an 'art show', seeing as the creators don't even consider it as that.
